In recent years the company has enjoyed notable successes with new titles spanning a diversity of fields: mathematical science, information science, computer science, information technology, robotics, cognitive science, bioscience, ecology, and even finance.

The company publishes the Japanese edition of Kernighan and Ritchie’s The C Programming Language, which is relied on by many programmers, students, and researchers as the bible of the C computer language; it has sold over 450,000 copies in the years since it first appeared, making it a long-term bestseller. The Japanese translation of Katz’s A History of Mathematics: An Introduction, regarded as the definitive history of mathematics to date, has also been well received. Other major titles include Kara zukai sugaku jiten (a translation of Fritz Reinhardt and Heinrich Soeder’s dtv-Atlas Mathematik), Kara zukai butsuri-gaku jiten (a translation of Hans Breuer’s dtv-Atlas Physik), Seitai-gaku jiten (Encyclopedia of Ecology), Shinka-gaku jiten (Encyclopedia of Evolution), Jinko chino-gaku jiten (Encyclopedia of Artificial Intelligence), Ninchi kagaku jiten (Dictionary of Cognitive Science), and Gengo shori-gaku jiten (Encyclopedia of Language Processing), all of which serve as vital resources in their fields.
